FIBER STRIPPING TOOLS

- Acrylate stripping
- ETFE stripping

INTRODUCTION
Singlemode or Graded index multimode fibers are generally buffered with an acrylate material. This buffer has to be removed without damaging the fragile fiber for termination operations.
Important criteria to selec the right tool are:
- Buffer diameter (250µm or 500µm)
- Existence of an outer jacket.

MILLER 103S
This versatile tool is adapted to strip 250µm as well as 500µm buffered fibers. The V shaped blade are calibrated to avoid scratching fiber silica. Tool approved by France Telecom.

SHOWA
The concept of this tool is different from other tools. It is based on a thick plastic blade which pushes the acrylate away without any risk to damage the silica.
Adapted to acrylate it makes possible the stripping of long lengths of fiber as well as stripping in the middle part of the fiber. It is particularly recomanded for 400µm fiber generally difficult to strip with other tools.
It is delivered with several blades.
