INTRODUCTION These tools are adapted to strip ETFE or Nylon buffer that are frequently found on All Silica step index fibers or HCS fibers. Careful stripping being particularly necessary fot the later due to the risk of removing the polymer cladding. Two tools are proposed:
“MICRO-STRIP” Recomandations: - It is important tu pull exactly in the fiber axis without wrist torsion. - The blade diameter being very close from the fiber's one it is recomanded to ease slightly the pressure on the blades before the pulling.
“SIEMENS” STRIPPER The metal blades have precisely calibrated holes. The right gauge has to be carefully selected according to the fiber diameter to be stripped.
