DESCRIPTION ULS step index fibers consist of a silica low OH core with a doped silica cladding. They have a high NA (0,29) and diameter core from 200µm to 330µm. A choice of coatings, polyimide or Tefzel, provides performance characteristics to meet the needs of the environment.
APPLICATIONS ULS step index fibers are silica low OH fibers with results in a low and flat spectral attenuation curve. A high numerical aperture : 0,29 is better coupling to high NA sources and reduces bend loss and in “hot spots”. Low OH concentration is especially effective for using in near IR spectroscopy applications.
