DESCRIPTION TCG silica / silica high OH step index fibers consist of a pure silica core with a doped silica cladding, and a polyimide coating. Their numerical aperture is 0,22 and diameter core from 100µm to 400µm. (Other diameters on request).
APPLICATIONS These silica fibers are coated with Polyimide for high temperature resistance from -65°C to +300°C continuous and up to 400°C for short durations.and high power transmission. The high OH concentration allows efficient power transmission from UV to visible wavelengths. Polyimide coating is radiation and chemical resistant and is very great for sensing and vacum applications. The main other utilisations are power laser delivery (1GW/cm2), radiation analyse and UV spectroscopy. With a USP Class VI non toxic certification and biocompatibility, TCG fibers are ideal for laser surgery and other medical applications.
