DESCRIPTION These fibers are multimode step index type fibers. They have a modified silica core and a doped silica cladding .Coating is polyimide for use up to 350°C.
APPLICATIONS Solarization is a change in material characteristics due to ultraviolet light. Hight intensities of UV illumination can cause damage in optical fibers and dramatically increasing the scattering and attenuation. Solarization changes depend of intensity and spectral output of the UV source and are wavelength dependent. That is why it’s important for applications in the UV region (190nm-325nm) to use solarization resistant silica / silica fibers. Main applications: - Spectroscopy - Eximer laser delivery system
